The Electoral Roll is a list of all the full members of St Mary's. To join it is a mark of full belonging, an assertion of your right to membership and an agreement to take responsibility for the life of the parish community. It is an important thing. It is not the same thing as the local government electoral roll, with which it is sometimes confused.

A search of the Electoral Roll provides details of those registered to vote at the associated postal address. As it is only a legal requirement for people over the age of 18 years to register on the Electoral Roll tenants of a younger age may not have much data recorded for address provided. It is also possible that an individual may not be registered at an address even though they were legally obliged to, or in some cases they may have opted out from publication. There is no such restriction for applying for enrolment of the name as a voter in the electoral roll. However, during any election, inclusion, addition, deletion, modifications, etc., will be made till the last day of receiving nominations.
