Do You Read Rough Drafts?

dnm: FAQ on Syllabus Policies
You are certainly welcome to send me a potential thesis or a rough outline for feedback from me. I'm happy to look at these over email or in person. If you have a rough draft completed, I will look over it if time allows, and my schedule changes from week to week. My feedback will concentrate on argument and structure. I'm unlikely to give you concrete "do this" suggestions-rather I try to identify areas that might be improved.

What form do "notes and rough drafts" have to be in?

Research Paper FAQ
They can be in whatever form you have used. The idea is that I can reconstruct how you constructed your paper if I wish to--save all note cards, note paper, printouts, and anything in your computer on a disk. Label your disks with the type of computer you used (Macintosh or IBM-type) and the word-processing program. Put them all in a big bag. All will be returned with your papers.

And did you read these drafts?

Kitzmiller v. Dover: Day 6, AM: Barbara Forrest (continued)
Yes. The visual inspection shows very clearly the substitution of the term "design" for the term "creation." It's a bit broader search. You'll notice that the word "creation" has an ending, it has an "-is" ending. That is so that the counter will pick up any cognate of that word, creationist or creationism, that both will be counted, and here we're looking for the term "intelligent design" rather than just "design." What this indicates is that you see the same thing in these drafts.

How rough will she take it?

Ensenada 20 - Frequently Asked Questions
In 4 foot (trough to crest) very steep waves as long as you have wind, she’ll reach and run with very little roll. (If anyone starts to turn a little green, get them out of the cabin, eyes focused on horizon, and don’t read, it should pass in a few minutes, if not gone too far). Close-hauled in 4 foot waves some spray will reach the cockpit but you can duck behind the raised pop-top (with dodger installed) to stay dry.

Q5. What are the restrictions on the 1003.1 standard drafts and the full standard?

How many drafts do you write?

Susan Wiggs
SW: As many as it takes. Some parts come out just right the first time I put pen to paper. Others take seemingly endless tweaking. Because I was curious, I saved every version of Chapter 1 of Just Breathe as I was writing it. I have about ten versions now, and this is before the copy editor gets her hands on it. SW: I love this question, because it means the setting of the book felt real to the reader.

Should they be protected from drafts?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for the Central Iowa Orchid...
By no means. As a matter of fact, orchids require moving air to thrive. They do best where there is a steady breeze. After all, in nature, orchids are subject to all kinds of weather. Like most plants, orchids prefer a middle range of temperatures, neither too hot nor too cold. Some warm-growing species can take hot weather, some cool-growers are not harmed by subfreezing temperatures. It depends upon the plant's species.

Poison Ivy Treatment - Zanfel Poison Ivy Wash Frequently Ask...
Even though Zanfel is safe on damaged skin, excessive scrubbing with this or any other product is not recommended. Remember that the goal is to remove the urushiol oil, and this usually takes no more than 15 seconds of scrubbing. In fact, Zanfel also deep cleans the skin, promoting fast healing of the wound at the same time it is removing the toxin. Zanfel feels good when you scrub with it, even on cuts.

What about rough weather?

FAQ for Key West deep sea sport fishing aboard the premier c...
The "Mr. Z" is the largest full-time Sport Fishing charter boat in Key West. We rarely lose days to bad or rough weather. I generally say we can run in wind speeds up to 25 knots or 6-8 foot seas. Our weather service can sometimes (mostly) be incorrect at times so we adopt a "wait and see" policy. We don't' cancel trips until we have to. In that case, there is no charge. All weather calls are made by the captain.

What is a rough-in inspection?

FAQ and Answers
Rough-in inspections are simply inspections of portions of the wiring system that will be concealed when the project is completed. With proper planning, most 1, 2, and 3 family residential jobs only require one rough-in inspection. However, it should be noted that many factors determine how many rough-in inspections are needed on any particular job and that the builder primarily determines these factors. The thing to remember is that all wiring must be inspected before it is concealed.

Are the landings rough?

Skydive Virgina, West Point, Richmond, NOVA, Washington D.C....
The ram air parachutes used today allow for soft landings as the rule instead of the exception. AFF students are taught how to do a Parachute Landing Fall in the event that they misjudge their landing flare and land harder then usual. Tandem students are taught to hold their feet up for the landing and let the instructor touch down first. WPSA continuously replaces our parachutes to ensure that the gear is always performing like new.
