It is better to have a "W" on a transcript than a failing grade. Withdraws do not get calculated into a student's Grade Point Average, but letter grades do.

Students can purchase an extension when their exams expire. Once your exams expire an extension option will appear in your portal account. You can purchase an extension for $200.00. An extension also gives you 1 month from your final deadline to complete the exams. There are no limits to how many extensions you can buy. Please note that this option is only available for 1 month after your certification expires.

Undergraduate Program - Complete and submit your application for the student status letter to the Student Service Centre at Yusof Ishak House or Bukit Timah Campus Management Office for students from Law faculty. Your request for extension will be registered through the Immigration & Checkpoint Authority's (ICA) SOLAR system. You will be subsequently advised to complete an application form (Form 16) online; processing takes about 5 working days.

Students can contact Chifley Business School not more than two weeks prior to the due date, to request an assignment extension. You should travel to New Zealand within the period that your visa is valid. Your registration for a programme of study runs for a prescribed period of time. However, in exceptional circumstances the period of your registration can be extended. In the first instance this period of extension will be for 3 months. To apply for such an extension you should discuss the matter with your Programme Director and ask them to email the Academic Registrar on registrar@canterbury.ac.uk to confirm that they support your request for a 3 month extension.

Port numbers are obtained by dialing #*119 from the extension in question. You will hear cabinet, shelf, lot, circuit and corresponding numbers, e.g., 02.2.03.1.

Do not rub or scratch eyes. Also, any creams, eye-makeup removers, lotions or cleansers containing oils can loosen the bond. Apply eye creams sparingly avoiding the lash line area.

Dependants of students should apply together with the student by submitting duly completed application forms ID91, ID481A and ID481B as well as the original of their travel documents.

You can send in your application up to 90 days before expiration of your study permit. Your application will take at least 4 weeks, so if you plan to travel out of the country between semesters, you are advised to send in your application at the appropriate time. Do not leave Canada during the application process or your application will be denied.
