Your jade plants should be grown in full sun to be the best, but partial or light shade is o.k. A screened patio is all right as long as it is bright enough.

The most important thing to know right off is how to water jade. Over-watering is the #1 killer. When you water it, water it well so the entire pot is well saturated; don't water again until the pot is completely dry, and never let the plant stand in water. . With a jade plant, if you are ever in doubt it is better to not water than water.

Most jades at the largest size usually get to a maximum of 4' - 5' tall, not really tree size; big bush is a better description.

A gem with an oriental mystique, jade is a gem represented by the minerals jadeite and nephrite, both with an exceptional resistance to breakage. It is common for both to be treated with waxes and dyes to enhance their beauty. Jade may be cleaned with a soft brush and warm, soapy water and is safe for immersion in ultrasonic cleaners, though harsh solutions should be avoided.

Dig a hole large enough in the soil to fit the whole root comfortably, pat down the soil well and water. Fertilize the soil.

The Jade Eggs come in three sizes that correspond to varying levels of expertise. The largest eggs are the easiest to grasp and manipulate and help the beginner sense and become aware of her muscles and control. The smaller the eggs get, the more skill and muscular control it takes to manipulate and feel them, thus the smallest eggs are for the expert who has trained through the other sizes. The respective size of the eggs are: small 21mm, medium 26mm, large 40mm.

One of each different size of Jade Eggs is predrilled. This is to allow you to practice vaginal weight lifting with all three sizes, depending on your preference. This could be based on ability, strength, or body size, or any combination of the above. The idea is that as you improve you may be able to lift the same amount of weight with a smaller and smaller egg.

You can attach one egg to another to try lifting a small amount of weight. You may also attach a string or silk cord from the egg to an adjustable weight, (a cloth bag filled with sand works well). We recommend that you start with a modest amount of weight and work your way up in small increments. Be gentle and let your body guide your exercises. We don't suggest that you lift over 10 pounds unless you are already an expert.

We recommend the first couple of times you use the Jade Eggs, to attach a string or silk cord through the drilled egg. Using this will ensure that you can pull the egg out gently at any time you wish. If by chance you experience that the egg feels "stuck", don't worry! Relax... the egg will come out naturally, often when you've completely forgotten about it. Laughing, sneezing, or coughing can eject the egg. Squatting and pushing out gently (as though having a bowel movement) works well.

If the identification is important to you consult your local library, especially a college or university library, for references used to identify the native or horticultural plants of your area. Illustrations, either photos or line drawings, can be most helpful.

I buy the jade myself. When I don't personally buy it, my supplier purchases it directly from the carver. In fact, most of the time he buys the rough jade and then asks the carver to make the jade pieces to my specifications. This saves us a tremendous amount of expense and I can pass the savings on to you.
