The Fox School takes the highest score acquired on the GMAT. There are no limits to how many times you take the GMAT.

Over the past three years, the average score of successful applicants on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score was higher than 630.

We will accept scores within five years of the date of your application. Scores more than five years old are accepted only if you have completed substantial graduate work at UM or have completed a graduate degree elsewhere.

Your score report provides your test results for the test administration date indicated on the report. For each test you took, the report lists your total test score, whether or not you met the qualifying score, and an indication of your performance in each subarea or section of the test. For each subarea or section, the score report indicates the number of test questions (within a general range, e.g., 1-10, 11-20) that are in this section of the test.

Answer: No. Official GMAT scores are required for an application to be considered complete. Unofficial scores can only be used as a preliminary measure to evaluate your application.

GRE: Varies by program. If there is a minimum score required, it would be listed in the catalog under each program's admission requirements. MAT: Only good for the master's in Counseling and doctoral in Nursing; no minimum score has been set.

The GMAT is scored on a scale from 200 to 800. The average score is pretty close to 500 although that has increased in recent years. To get into a top 10 business school you will typically need a score higher than a 600. While a score higher than 700 should get you into most business schools, nothing is guaranteed.

Only those applying for admission to the MPhil/PhD programmes in the School of Business are required to send the official score report of GRE or GMAT, taken within five years. The results from the web-based test will post to CertManager within 10 days. To view a Score Report from the Prometric Prime system: sign-in to the system, sign-in into the Prime system (http://nortel.prime.prometric.com/), from the Candidate Menu select, Review Scores, click on the exam start date. You can view a score report for each exam you have taken.

You only need to take the MPE if you think you did poorly (i.e. a score of 1) on the AP Level AB Calculus score. See AP Calculus Credit.

Applicants desiring to improve their typing test score after the initial test may retake the test one additional time. The highest score will be kept and used. Applicants may retake the tests after 90 days. Scores do not expire, however, if scores are over one year old, or software packages have been updated, applicants may be asked to retake the tests.

Initially, we advise an international applicant to attach photocopies of his/her score reports with the application, but official reports issued by ETS will be required before full processing of that application will take place. In some instances, the Graduate School will accept certified copies of these reports.

You may request a handscoring of a multiple-choice test, or you may make an appointment to attend a score verification session in Tallahassee. Performance sections of tests, such as essays or recorded speaking sections of language tests, have been scored by two raters, and if required, by a referee.

No. Many factors are considered in the admissions process. However, you will want to note our average and range of scores in our most recent class profile. We will see all of your scores but will take your higher score if you take the test twice. If you take the GMAT more than twice, we consider all scores, but don’t average them.

Most universities still accept the PBT scores. However, you should check with the universities to determine their specific requirements.

No, we do not specify a minimum GMAT score - it is just one of the many criteria we consider in the selection process. However, the majority of our students have a score above 580, and the average for this year's class is 680.

There is no minimum requirement - a high score does not guarantee admission and a lower score does not necessarily eliminate an applicant. The average score is 680, with 80% being between 610 - 750.
