Windows: You will download a single executable file (like "bigfive.exe"), probably on your desktop. You just double click this file to install the clip art on your computer. Part of the installation is a small program to show and select images. It is normally installed in the "Program Files" directory with your other applications, and there is an icon in the Programs section of your Start menu. (If you use Windows 3.1, there is no viewing program.

A click area is useful when you want to assign different destination links to different sections of a single image. For example let's say you have a picture of yourself. You can assign an area to the eyes, an area to the mouth, and so on. A click on the eyes may display a page where you talk about your wonderful blue eyes and so on... excellent source of clip art is put out by Zedcor under the title Desk Gallery. I have two of their packages which total up to many, many thousands of images. It is mostly scanned clip art in a few formats, TIFF and EPS - but mostly TIFF and are therefore accessible cross platform. They come on multiple CD's with a bookful of thumbnails of the images as an index.
