Yes. At our facility and all other satellite facilities, there is plenty of handicap accessible parking.

It is the responsibility of the group coordinator to communicate any special needs to the Office of Conferences about physically challenged participants and their particular needs. Some of our rooms are handicap accessible, but not all. Please alert the Director of Conference, we will address the issues and needs of these persons.

Yes, there are permanent-paved pathways that run throughout the event site. Handicap parking is available at the DART Transit Center located at the northwest corner of Arapaho Road and Quorum Drive.

There is a wheelchair entry. There is one shower which has a built in seat which allows a handicap person to take a shower by themselves. However, the shower it self is not wheelchair accessible (the person must be assisted into the shower seat). Also, the toilet also does not have wall handles. We have had handicapped/wheelchair-bound guests at our Lodge before. It has never been a problem.

All public areas of the Hall of State are barrier-free. Elevators move guests from floor to floor, and restrooms are fully accessible.

Yes and no. Unfortunately all sites and activities are not yet fully accessible. Sandy Hook is in the process of upgrading all of its facilities. The most accessible site at this time (2001) is the Visitor’s Center in Spermaceti Cove. Restrooms at lots B, C, D and E are wheelchair accessible. Our staff accommodates a wide variety of visitors each year. If you have special needs, please let us know when you request a trip so that we can adjust our activities to better suit your students.

Paradise Park is handicap accessible, according to ADA regulations. There is an elevator to the second floor of the building, as well as an elevator to the second level of the foam factory. Restrooms are wheelchair accessible, as are all children's activities in the edutainment center. The back nine holes of the miniature golf course is wheelchair accessible, and may be easily played twice in order to complete 18 holes.

In some area’s, Michaud’s is a multi-level facility and is handicap accessible with the use of our lift. Our parking attendants will direct your guests to the proper entrances into our facility. Once inside, hostesses will direct your guests to your banquet room.

Yes. The accessible entrance at Symphony Hall is located in the Cohen Wing on Huntington Avenue. At Jordan Hall, it is located just to the left of the main entrance on Gainsborough Street. Symphony Hall and Jordan Hall are equipped with elevators if needed.
