I've only ever used Windows Movie Maker. Others may use different programs, but WMM has always worked well for me and pretty much does what I need. I may not be able to do anything particularly fancy with it, but it gets the job done. As far as I know it comes as standard with Windows ME and XP.

The PBCC Programs’ main focus is on the production of theatrical narrative film and broadcast television news. Though there are some similarities between music video production and narrative film production, there are several important differences. While the programs will develop and emphasize skills that can be utilized across many disciplines, the programs do not address the practical applications of these skills in the specific context of music video production.

There's an infinite number of editing programs around and I certainly don't know not even half of them. However, I do feel that Windows Movie Maker (or "MM", as we vidders like to call it) is a good program for beginners. It's simple and easy to get the hang of. Now, if you're looking for something a bit more professional, then all I can say is that Video Factory is wonderful and I rec it to everyone, but I don't know others.

I have every episode saved on my hard drive. I captured them from my videotapes and keep them there to grab clips of for the videos. I use a program called Pinnacle Studio 8 to make the videos and special transitions that had to be purchased separately. Now Pinnacle has Studio 10, but I prefer 8. No. I've gotten a lot of flack about this from people calling me greedy or other names for not wanting to "help' people.

There are a lot of ways. I don't suggest you go downloading the movies to your computer. As a matter of fact, I think you should avoid doing it at any cost. Not only it's illegal, but the quality of the video itself is... well, definitely very low. There are some websites around that have scenes for you to download, so I suppose you can use those, just ask the webmaster and remember to give them credit.

The first step is composition; some pieces, I write myself, some I arrange, and some (the best) are by other people. The next step is to get a rendition of the piece; if somebody else has performed the piece and saved the result as a MIDI file, I can use that as is, but usually I need to practice it myself and then do a performance.

The money we charge for our set of ten videos and the workbook, barely covers the cost of production. When you add processing, storage, and other internal costs, we actually lose money on every sale. We want to keep the price of our videos accessible to as many people as possible, so we do not look at this as a profit center.

TuneCore takes none of the money from the sale of your music videos. You get it all. For each music video sold individually, you receive: iTunes pays the above Pay Rate in the local currency of the country where the sale occurred. For example, if a music video sells from the iTunes Japan store, iTunes Japan pays in Japanese yen (¥). The money is converted into U.S. dollars by the bank and forwarded on to you. As always, TuneCore takes none of the money from the sale of your music video.

Chagall Guevara had one music video for the song Violent Blue. The video was shot in the Volcano Room of Cumberland Caverns, a Tennessee state park and U.S. natural landmark. Of note in the video is a cameo by Fleming & John and, of course, Steve's powder blue suit. In an interview of the band in a 1991 issue of Cornerstone magazine, Steve indicated that they liked--or, at least, didn't hate--the video: we did a video. It was down in a cave about a hundred miles south of Tennessee.

iTunes has a different set of standards for non-music-video content. In time, TuneCore hopes to be able to offer this service.
