A DMZ (demilitarized zone) is a computer host or small network inserted as a "neutral zone" between a company's private network and the outside public network. It prevents outside users from getting direct access to a server that has company data.

On this page, we'll try to answer some of the more frequently asked questions about roses that we've heard from our customers. When you're faced with uncertainty about what to do with your roses, read as much as you can about roses and ask your gardenings friends for advice. But most importantly, relax -- remember, you're doing this because you want to! Taking care of roses is alot like taking care of anything -- you have to pay attention to them so you know when something is not quite right.

Setting up an account is an easy process. Open an account at our website by completing our online form. We will email or fax a subscriber agreement which you complete and return to us. You will then be provided applicant release and any other FCRA disclosures.

In normal syncing mode OsaSync creates a file for each item in each folder being synced. This file is imported on the target computers. If you have large folders (more then 2000 items per folder) it can take a long time for this process to finish (several hours is no exception). Advanced syncing mode is much faster because OsaSync does not create a file for each item but only assigns a unique OsaSync ID to each item.

DMZ stands for Demilitarized Zone. This feature allows one IP Address to be exposed to the Internet. DMZ allows only one computer to be exposed when multiple TCP/IP ports need to be open. If you want to use DMZ, you must set computer with a static IP.

Our security appliances include a third Ethernet port, called a DMZ port ("De-Militarized Zone"). Servers placed on the DMZ, such as Web and FTP servers, are accessible to both LAN and Internet users, but are protected against DoS attacks.

A demilitarized zone (DMZ) allows one IP address (computer) to be exposed to the Internet. Some applications require multiple TCP/IP ports to be open. It is recommended that you set your computer with a static IP if you want to use DMZ hosting.

When users post iNote entries (see What is an iNote?), each entry is labeled with the date and time at which it was posted. Although the eBoard servers always know the date and time, they don't know where you, the eBoard owner, are physically located. Your eBoard has a time zone so that we can display the date and time in the correct time zone. If you purchase a district-wide educator license, your time zone is set by the district eBoard administrator.

You will be shown how to do this at the beginning of the semester. A card will be provided to you with instructions. If you continue to have problems please ask a TIGER Study staff member.

Within your VR Control Center, click on "My Profile". From here you can set the time zone to reflect your local time zone. We do recommend you include a contact phone number, in the "My Profile" section of your VerticalResponse account. Because we manually approve all outgoing emails campaigns, from time to time we may have to reach you if your campaign is declined for any reason.

In menu "Edit list" you find "Time zone of this list". This setting controls the display of time stamps of waypoints and track points. In menu "System" you find "Time zone at home". This setting controls the PC clock correction. In addition, whenever you create a new waypoint list from scratch, the home zone setting will be copied to the list zone setting. And why are there two different settings? You will find this useful if coming back from a trip to a different time zone.

Because it's free and has some nice features. Sure, it has some bugs too, but overall, it's very nice. (Dollar-for-dollar, it's the best firewall available, too!)
