Rose Community Foundation considers receipt of your proposal the beginning of a relationship. Once your proposal is complete and addresses a priority within our grantmaking program, it will be assigned to program staff for review. A program officer will talk with you further and may request a meeting. In the course of the proposal review, applicants are also requested to share with the program officer any new information that may significantly affect the proposed project.

All formal bids must be submitted by the specified due date and time, in duplicate, to the City Secretary’s Office, City Hall Annex, Public Level, (900 Bagby). The bid due date and time is specified in each bid/proposal package.

Yes, if the proposal is extremely strong and provides a compelling reason to fund a proposal above the upper limit, EPA may select that grant. In the past, EPA has awarded a grant to an applicant for an amount greater than the upper limit. All applications are initially reviewed for meeting the threshold requirements using the eligibility criteria (Section III) after which regional reviewers will conduct an initial relevancy review.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has a guidance booklet on their website that details the criteria for submitting proposals for Brownfields grant funds. Not always; grants involving human or animal subjects must be processed through RGP. Most foundation grants can be processed through RGP, however, several major foundations have been cultivated by UFF and will need to be processed through UFF rather than RGP. The check will be mailed with a transmittal letter than reminds you that 1) the grant is to be used for the purposes outlined in your formal application, and 2) that you must report progress on your project every six months until the project is complete. After you turn in your form, you will usually need to have a face-to-face interview at the local agency. The agency may give you an interview the same day you bring in your form. Or, the agency may give you a time to come back. If you return your form by mail, the agency will tell you when to come in for your interview. The agency must schedule your interview within five working days after the day you turn in your form.

The Office of Judicial Affairs will read the referral, assign charges and in some cases, set up separate pre-hearing conferences with you and the charged student(s). After that meeting, the date and time for the hearing will be determined. We will make every effort to accommodate all students' academic schedules when setting the hearing time.

In a few cases, grant proposals will be administratively declined because the request falls clearly outside foundation guidelines or for lack of foundation funds. In this case, the requester will be notified of the declination as soon as possible. In all other cases, final disposition will be given to requesters within one week of the next quarterly meeting. It depends on the particular project. In general, applicants should propose what makes the most sense for their particular project and fits within the budgetary guidelines outlined in the RFA. As always, applicants are encourage to pose specific questions to one of the scientific contacts, Drs. Mabry and Onken.

A grant proposal is not considered a public disclosure until it is available to the public for review. Most grant requests are confidential and are not considered public disclosures, but others are made public by their inclusion in a file system available for public review. To prevent inadvertent disclosure, we can quickly file a provisional patent application before you formally submit your grant proposal. Please give us at least two weeks' advance notice.

In developing and managing our Initiatives, Commitments, and special opportunities, Foundation staff research organizations as potential contributors to fill specific niches and achieve the outcomes within our Program areas. Once potential projects have been identified, the Foundation may request a formal proposal.
