If more than one squad interests you, you are welcome to audition for multiple teams. You will be encouraged to attend all of the clinics leading up to auditions. Yes, we kick off our competition season in the month of October and will compete aganist many different leagues and divisions throughout the season.

Coaches decide on movement of swimmers between the various groups based on continuous assessment during training. We also hold mini 'splash galas' every 6-8 weeks or so to help us identify swimmers who are ready to be moved on to higher groups.

Squads are groups of guildmates that are capable of running 10-man raid instances. Squads are designed to fit the play time and play style of its members. Each squad is unique in its scheduling and its pace. Squad membership is optional and not required to be members of the guild. Alts may join as full squad members if allowed by the Squad Leader. Squads are run by Squad Leaders who have been promoted to officers to effectively support their squad.

Anyone is encouraged to form a squad. We appreciate the enthusiasm and hard work that it takes to coordinate ~15 people. When you have a decent player base for your squad, create a charter. Any marine may be placed in only one squad at a time. Squads are designated by the numbers 1 through 5, and only the Commander may assign his marines to a squad. To assign marines to a squad, hold your duck key, and press any number key from 1 to 5. That will create a squad and tell the marines on the ground that they are now part of that squad. To then select all of the marines in that squad at once, simply press the number key you used to designate the squad.

If you are currently not on your spirit squad, you must submit a letter to appeal for exemption from this requirement. Our program constantly recruits all year long and there are two ways in which to receive an invitation to attend an Orange Squad tryout session.
