After your file is complete, it will take IBEAR admissions staff approximately two weeks to review it and make a decision (admit, hold, deny). International files take more time than domestic files because they must be reviewed by USC International Admissions. Admitted applicants are informed by email or phone on the day the decision is made.

It is often true that when considering candidates of roughly equal qualifications, the committee may consider a candidate's school, and particularly the reputation of the specific discipline at that school. This is why it is important to take a challenging course of study that includes advanced courses, directed independent study, and where applicable, research experience.

It will take approximately one month after the interview for the Admission Committee to notify the applicant of their decision. The result is either an acceptance, rejection, or being put on a waiting list. Notifications will be sent by both registered mail and email.

The MSF program uses a rolling admissions process. The MSF Admissions Committee reviews completed applications at each deadline. Applicants reviewed at each deadline are emailed with the committee's decision on the subsequent notification date. See Application Deadlines and Notification dates. You must at least have the equivalent of a 4-year U.S. Bachelor's degree before we can consider you for admission to the MSF program.

The admissions criterion is different for each Church school. However, ecclesiastical endorsements, academic and spiritual preparation, national test scores, essays, volunteer service, leadership, and talent all bear major weight in the admissions decision. We recommend that you visit each institution’s home page for its specific admission factors.

Provided no additional information is needed, it generally takes about 14 days to receive a decision after your claim is received in Trenton.  However, if your claim does not contain all the required information, it will take longer to process.  That is why it is important to have your employer and your physician complete their portions of the form if at all possible before mailing it to us. If you are “investment ready”, with a complete business plan and a private investor who has already agreed investment terms, we can make a decision within two weeks. The investment could be made within a further three to four weeks. If any key elements are missing, such as a private investor, this will cause delays and mean that the whole process could take several months. However we will always endeavour to speed up the investment process.

Time to first decision varies greatly for each manuscript. However, our average time from submission to first decision is six to eight weeks.

Provided that we receive sufficient information, the preliminary decision to invest in principle may take about 10 days and will be subject to parameters such as pricing, due diligence and other investment terms.

You will receive notification of your admission status approximately 4-6 weeks after the application deadline. Decisions are sent both by e-mail and regular mail.

Applicants who are denied admission to the University and who can prove extenuating circumstances or provide information that was not presented initially should forward a written request for a review of their application to: Note that there are no personal appearances before the Committee. The request should include any additional information together with any supporting documents from persons familiar with the applicant's abilities and circumstances.

The application review process begins immediately following the December submission deadline. Decisions are typically sent by late March. [up] Deferrals are granted only in rare instances. To seek a deferral, send a letter indicating your reason and your intended semester of enrollment to the Program Administrator, Selmin Cicek. In those few cases when a deferral is granted, a $500 deposit is required. [up]

You should expect to hear from us sometime in March or early April. The specific date varies from year to year because the number of applicants differs. Be assured, however, that we will inform you of your decision in as timely a manner as possible.

Although the notification dates for each of the concentrations vary slightly, admissions decisions are usually sent out by the end of February.
