Edeck® may be cleaned with water and a mild detergent when normal dirt and pollutants coat the surface of Edeck®.

Portico Composite Decking requires no paint or stain, although oil-based paints or stains can be applied in 90 to 180 days if desired. Generally, wood composites do not absorb or retain paint and stain as well as natural wood. Fiber Composites advises consumers to test application of paint or stain on Portico Composite Decking before applying.

ACQ framing lumber is used for your deck. It stands for (Alkaline Copper Quat), a wood preservative that has been replaced in recent years because of safety concerns with CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate). Framing is always ACQ lumber in the Grade #2. If you do have an all treated deck than your decking / railing will be a Grade #1.
