The coffee is freshly roasted when you place the order; we never pre-package any of our coffee. We recommend you use the whole bean within 3 weeks and the ground within 2 weeks. The fresher the coffee, the more you will notice the difference between our coffee and pre-packaged coffee off the shelf from a grocery store.

Green coffee beans will last for around two years without any noticeable loss of flavor. Green coffee beans should be stored in some sort of container that will allow it to breathe and not impart another flavor to the beans: burlap bags, paper bags, etc.; avoid plastic containers. Storing them at room temperature and out of direct light is fine.

Immediately after roasting, Roast A Bean recommends waiting until the beans have cooled and degassed for at least 4 hours. Flavor will begin to decline after about 10 days, so only roast what you will use in that time. We believe, based upon research that you should roast enough to last 4 to 5 days and use the coffee within 7 to 10 days after roasting to maintain the freshness.

Dark roasts will stay fresh for several weeks but light and medium roasts begin to lose their flavor within days. To best enjoy fresh roasted coffee, consume it within a week of roasting. Apart from dark roasts, coffee is at its absolute best in the first day after roasting, with the exception of the first 4 to 6 hours (during this period, the beans rapidly vent some of the CO2 that the roasting process releases). The coffee aroma is also strongest during the first day.

Our soaps usually stay 'good' for years. In fact, the older a soap gets, the longer it will last when you finally combine it with water in your shower. However, time does affect the intensity of a soap's fragrance. For best fragrance, we recommend that you enjoy your soaps within six months of purchase.

Once roasted, coffee begins to lose its flavour the longer it is exposed to air and moisture. We recommend buying your coffee weekly, storing it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place and grinding it just before brewing. Most produce will last about a week, and sometimes longer when kept properly. Here are some general rules for storing produce for maximum freshness. Citrus is best kept at room temperature of 60-70 degrees and used within two weeks. Do not store in plastic bags. Berries and Cherries are best covered in the fridge. Don't wash until you use them??-too much moisture in the package speeds spoilage. Avocados & Bananas are best stored and eaten at room temperature. Both will ripen with time.

We take pride in delivering only the freshest products to our customers. Most products should be enjoyed within 2-4 months. Items such as fresh fruit and frozen products are best if enjoyed immediately.

Benefiber® has a shelf life of 2 years. Use within 6 months of opening and be sure to check the expiration date on each package of Benefiber®.

If stored sealed and refrigerated, BroccoSprouts have a shelf life of at least 2 weeks. If you detect an unpleasant odor upon opening the box, the sprouts should be thrown out.

See point above. Outside the fridge would be less time than in a fridge, but we would not give specific guidance as such conditions would be variable, as opposed to the conditions in a fridge which are constant.

Smoke-Break has been tested to stay fresh for six (6) weeks, non-refrigerated. For the purposes of the clinical study, we will be using a 2-week expiration date.

You bet! We ship all coffee within 48 hours of roasting, normally within 24 hours. The coffee is packed in heat sealed bags with one-way valves, which allow the carbon dioxide produced by recently roasted beans to be expelled whilst keeping air out. To help you keep the coffee fresh once you receive it, the bags are resealable. Whole bean coffee that is well stored should continue to taste great for up to four weeks, ground coffee slightly shorter.

We don't use much preservatives in our cookies, they are pretty close to "all natural". If kept in a cool area the cookies will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. A few days if not kept cool, and up a 2 months in the fridge.

How should the Essentials be stored since they include enzymes and products? I have heard that enzymes should not be refrigerated, but that probiotics should.

Our chocolates will stay at peak freshness for approximately two months and is safe to consume up to six months after you receive your order.
