Yes you can either using a web based browser e mail reader such as Yahoo, Hotmail etc. You can also set standard email clients such as Microsoft Outlook to work with Celtel Access by entering the "in" and "out" box settings, noted elsewhere in this FAQ.

Yes, you can access your e-mail with another ISP for as long as you know your user name and password. However, you must change your mail server settings to your Cable Internet configuration.

By default, your account has the following e-mail address, automatically created when your account has completed setup: Using an e-mail client of your choice, such as Eudora (Highly Recommended), Netscape Mail, Microsoft Outlook, Firefox Mail and many others. Login to your Web Control Panel (http://YourDomainName.com/cgi-bin/plusmail), then click on "User Manager" and then on "Add User." Follow the directions provided on that page, making sure to supply a new password for the new e-mail account.

Click on OK a few times and then run Outlook. The additional mailbox should be listed. If you receive errors when you try to expand it you need to check your permissions to the mailbox.

You can keep as many messages and contacts as you want in your mailbox until your account size reaches it's storage limit, which is generally up to 10MB. You can monitor the amount of storage you've used by going to the 'Folders and Address Books' page in NetDexia WebMail as this information is provided in the bottom corner. As an important note, both email and contacts count towards your storage capacity.

If your college or department supports Microsoft Outlook Web Access (OWA), you can read your mail by clicking on the Outlook icon in the upper right corner of the RamPoint screen. If your department does not support Outlook Web Access, you cannot get to Outlook from the portal.

To access your mailbox via telephone, call 1383 (non toll free number) or 65-62341383 (if overseas). The system will then guide you to enter your password and mailbox number (if you are not retrieving from your own phone). Upon verifying your password and mailbox number (if required), the system will then guide you to retrieve your messages.

If you choose not to use VPN from off-campus and still want to send email through your own broadband provider, you will need to configure your mail client settings as described in the document Configuring Eudora Email When Off-campus. Suggested settings for Verizon and Comcast Cable broadband customers are included in that document.

With the UCM Mail web client, you can access e-mail from almost anywhere. With native clients (e.g. Eudora and Outlook), you can receive e-mail using virtually all ISPs, but some ISPs will prevent you from sending mail unless you reconfigure to use their outgoing e-mail server.
