You do not lose your eligibility for Work-Study in the future if you don't use the Work-Study award as long as you continue to qualify for financial aid.

I coined the term in 1998 intending to use it as the name of a website design and translation agency I was planning to establish. The agency never really took off and I decided to use the name for this website instead. The word is a combination of the Latin omnis (all) and the Greek γλωσσα (glossa - tongue/language) and means 'all languages'.

There is a Job fair every August on the last day of orientation weekend (the day prior to the first day of classes). Most departments looking to hire students attend this job fair, while other departments submit their hiring needs in writing. A directory is distributed at the fair that includes a list of available positions on campus, as well as descriptions for each of those positions. At the job fair, students approach departments of interest to them.

The name work-study can be misleading. Work-study positions are an important part of the daily functions of Park and its community service partners. The individual employers will establish the duties and tasks required. It is important that each job be treated as a "real job" in where the student is expected to work in exchange for wages.
