Class begins each day at 8:15 am. Prior to this time, the staff is occupied with Morning Prayer and class preparation. We ask that no children (exception: staff children on premise) enter the school doors before 8:15. It is important that we begin our day promptly at 8:15. Late arrival is detrimental to your child and disruptive to the other children in the classroom. No. The Course of Study guidelines for service learning projects, internships, and the scholarly proposal can all be worked into the TR Scholar's schedule when most convenient. The Course of Study guidelines offer a reasonable plan for completing the TR Program requirements, but should not be viewed as binding in terms of when requirements are met. In response to requests by teachers, students and parents, school began in August so that the first semester would end at Winter Break. This was more effective for high school students and teachers. We made this change many years ago. Then the FCAT was mandated by the state. The early start also provided the teachers and students more weeks to prepare for this high stakes test.
