There are in excess of 20,000 RTGS branches of over 100 banks, and more than 18,500 NEFT branches of over 58 major banks in India. Since 2006/07, we have removed the discounts for payment by direct debit, BACS and CHAPS. So firms no longer receive £20 for paying their fees by direct debit and £10 for payment by BACS or CHAPS.
