This enables you to make a good choice before you arrive and helps avoid disappointment.

If you are interested in booking accommodation in some of the advertised apartments or rooms you should make a booking request directly to the owner of the desired accommodation. In France there are gites d'étape all along the le Puy route (which coincides with the national long-distance footpath, the GR65). They cost €10-12 a night, and are open to anyone.
