This is an interesting question. We have users that only have to reboot their router (or radio for that matter) rarely, like once or twice a year. We have other users that say they have to reboot their router every couple of days. Some customers experience more frequent reboots with different brands of routers. Sometimes frequent reboots may be caused by a faulty device.

The newer Vigor 2600 models with 802.11G wireless (with a G at the end of the model number) support WEP/802.1x or WPA/802.1x. The older Vigor 2600W and 2600We models (with 802.11b 11Mb/s wireless) don't support WPA, but do support WEP.

You are able to define the number of computers you would like to support with the subnet mask. With the default netmask is 255.255.255.0, it supports 253 computers connecting to the router to share the connection. It can be modified to support more computers. The physical location of the wireless router along with the building materials inside your house and walls will determine the range of your wireless signal. A standard 802.11b/g wireless router will have a range of about 300' if there are no obstructions (i.e. outside). Wood frame/plaster/drywall will have minimal impact on decreasing your range.
