All three services are part of the ResNet (Resident Network) program. A fee, separate from a resident student's housing fee, provides unlimited local dialing, call waiting, voice mail, reduced long-distance charges, cable television, premium sports, music, and movie channels, Residence Life Cinema, high speed internet access, and wireless internet access (additional hardware required).

Cable TV is available through Suddenlink Communications in all areas. You can contact Suddenlink Communications at 1-877-443-3127. Telephone service is provided by AT&T. It is your responsibility to contact AT&T for installation. They have established a special telephone number for university students to call to set up service. This number is 1-877-722-6787 (1-877-7CAMPUS). In addition, AT&T has a website where you can request phone service. The web address is www.att.com.

Most units are equipped with Cable TV (basic), local telephone, Internet access. There are exceptions, please ask. Most downtown apartments have underground parking. In other areas, it is very common for people to park on the street.

All these services will be available on site. Phone will be provided through a central phone system, cable TV through one of the local cable companies, and Internet through a private local company. The onsite property management company will manage all these services.

Not technically, but some cable operators require that you do subscribe to basic analog cable TV service before you sign up for high speed Internet access. Check with your local cable company for specific information.

No. Each student is provided with their own cable box with the 3 aforementioned amenities for their own personal use. You must however supply the electronic equipment and connecting cables. You should discuss with your future roommate who is going to bring what with regard to electronics (TV/Stereo etc.). You will definitely not need nor fit 2 large televisions in your bedroom. The common living room in each house is equipped with a cable TV line, television and VCR. Each bedroom in the Airport Rd., Maple St., and Tamarack St. houses are equipped with a private telephone line and a cable TV outlet. Free wireless high speed internet service is available at Airport Rd. and Maple St. The landlord pays for the internet connection and basic cable TV service (included in the utility allowance explained above).

Yes. Only one line will come into to your house. A splitter will be mounted on the outside of your home. Multiple cables can be routed from this splitter.

Every residence hall room at Simpson is linked to Ethernet, giving you full access to the colorful World Wide Web, the Internet and computer databases around the globe, via the Netscape browser. Using your own computer you'll be able to complete assignments, produce presentations, explore information resources and communicate with other computer users on campus and worldwide.

TV (Channels 2 to 28), Local Telephone Calls and High Speed Internet Access (ADSL) from Telus are included for your convenience and pleasure. Access to the Internet only requires a quick automatic on-line registration of your laptop computer.

There are phone jacks in each bedroom and living room, but students need to bring their own telephone. Students may opt to set up local phone service in their apartments for a fee. Long distance calls can be made through prepaid calling cards sold by the university or through your own calling card such as MCI WorldCom (1-800-888-8000) or AT&T. If a TV reception problem is caused by cable signal interference, it may also affect Conuma Cable High Speed Internet service. In these situations, a professional technician may have to be dispatched to your home to correct the problem. If the reception problem originates from the source of the broadcast, your Internet service will not be affected.
