The U.S. Department of State issues passports and passport cards to U.S. Citizens. Visit their web page at www.travel.state.gov for information on locations.

A passport card is a low-cost, limited-use travel document produced by the U.S. Department of State acceptable for land and sea travel within the Western Hemisphere. Applications for the card will be accepted starting February 1, 2008, and the cards will be available for distribution in late spring 2008. See www.travel.state.gov for details.

With correct documentation, you are able to obtain another passport. Please complete additional form LS01 and follow instructions as per the PASSPORTS section. Please note processing time will be at the discretion of the UK Passport Agency.

Obtain an application at your nearest passport office, courthouse, or post office. You will need a certified birth certificate (with raised seal and file number), and 2 duplicate non-glossy photographs measuring 2" x 2", taken within six months of application. Passport applications can be obtained from the County Clerk's office or printed on-line from the U.S. Department of State web site. To find the closest acceptance center follow the link http://www.iafdb.travel.state.gov/ or take it to the County Clerk's office location in Ballston Spa.

The charge for a passport for a person age 16 and over is $55.00. The Security Surcharge is $12.00. For people younger than 16 the charge is $40.00 plus the Security Surcharge of $12.00. This must be paid by check or money payable to U. S. Department of State. In addition, the execution fee is $30.00 made payable to the Nassau County Clerk's Office. For expedited services there is an additional charge of $60.00 per application, made payable to U. S. Department of State.

We do not have passport applications here at the Town Office. Please visit the Huntsville Post Office, 705-789-2221. These applications are also available at the Government Information Centre or the Tony Clement Constituency Office, located at 202 Main Street West, Huntsville, Ontario, 705-789-4640.

A passport is required for all travel outside of the United States. This includes all the countries affiliated with Compassion International.
