Since AIHT is a complete distance learning program we do not have a traditional campus. Our administrative headquarters includes space for our faculty, academic support personnel, student services, shipping, on-line services, accounting dept., etc. There are absolutely no residency requirements to complete your degree program.

Yes, some of the camps will be taking curriculum-enhancing field trips. These trips will be completely supervised within our faculty/student ratio in safe vans or buses with approved drivers.

Students who live off campus usually opt for a smaller Meal Membership (150 Block) or the Declining Balance option.

While there is no University-owned housing, a wide variety of housing opportunities and price ranges is available in the immediate area. Parking is available from any gatehouse on a daily basis. See Gatehouse Fees for daytime, evening and special rates. Short Term parking, Quarterly Motorcycle/Scooter, Day SOV and Evening Parking Permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis from Parking Services. You will need proof of UW class registration and vehicle and license plate information. A permit may be purchased up to two weeks prior to the first day of the quarter.

Yes, once you have been accepted as a student to Tidewater Community College, you may take classes on any campus.

You can work off campus only with special permission from USCIS (Immigration). It is important that you do not work off campus without permission, as that may be grounds for deportation. There are specific situations which may be approved, such as a request on account of economic hardship caused by a significant change in circumstances. Students are also eligible to apply to work in their field for one year following graduation – this is known as Optional Practical Training.

Yes. All of the clubs at WVC reflect the current interests of our students. Clubs can be formed for example to represent academic interests (Alpha Gamma Sigma, Psi Beta, the Math Club), ethnic identity (Native-American Inter-tribal Council, Vietnamese Student Association, the Persian Club), hobbies or sports (the Ski Club, Chess Club, Cycling Club), or major interests (Interior Design Club, Student Architecture Club, Fashion Design Club).
