If you are wearing soft contacts they need to be out for at least two weeks before your evaluation exam and two weeks before your surgery. If you are wearing hard or gas permeable contact lenses they need to be out for at least three weeks prior to your exam and surgery. If you have little or no astigmatism we can try and get you into soft lenses for this three week period.

Dr. Denman has had uniform success in almost all cases of patients who have for one reason or another needed to wear contacts after RK, PRK or LASIK surgery. It would be very unusal to need contact lenses, but if this were necessary for complete correction of vision under certain circumstances, in most cases a contact lens fitting is fairly easily done.

Most patients will not need to wear contacts after surgery, but as long as the curvature of the cornea is within a normal range, there should be little difficulty wearing contacts after surgery.

Usually about 4-5 days. Most patients feel some fatigue and weakness for 3-5 days but are able to return to normal functions after about 5-7 days. If you do manual labor, you may wish to stay off of work a little longer.

Arthroscopic surgery is usually performed as a “day case,” meaning that you can go home the same day as the operation. Some people may need to stay in hospital for a couple of days to recover from the operation, but your surgeon will advise you on this.

The recipient will need to stay in the area for 6 to 12 weeks following hospital discharge for weekly blood work and visits to the transplant clinic. The donor will need to stay in the area for approximately 1 week following discharge.

Total joint replacement surgery typically lasts 1-2 hours. If your case may require longer, your doctor will have discussed this with you. If for some reason your surgery takes longer than anticipated, the operating room staff will be in contact with your family.

We will provide you with a post-operative diet and meal plan to follow for four weeks after your LAP-BAND® System surgery. The diet will help decrease the initial irritation and inflammation around the stomach and allow your band to "settle" into place. At first, you will have only liquids in small amounts. Gradually, you will progress from liquids to soft foods, eventually introducing solid foods back into your diet. The transition to solids is slow and varies among patients.

Contact lenses can change the curvature of the cornea. Taking them out allows the cornea to return to its natural shape. The time out of contact depends on the type of contact lens: Rigid gas permeable lenses: Four weeks prior to the pre-op exam and surgery. Plus an additional week for each decard over 10 years.

This will be determined by your discipline. Almost all graduate programs require the GRE, and some also require subject tests. Professional schools require exams specific to that area (LSAT, MCAT, and so on). You should find out what exams are required from each school to which you plan to apply, and you should do so at least one semester in advance of the application deadlines.

All student materials must be kept by you for a minimum of five years. As the instructor YOU are responsible for these materials, not your company.
