Can zlib work with greater than 4 GB of data?

Frequently Asked Questions about zlib
Yes. inflate() and deflate() will process any amount of data correctly. Each call of inflate() or deflate() is limited to input and output chunks of the maximum value that can be stored in the compiler's "unsigned int" type, but there is no limit to the number of chunks. Note however that the strm.total_in and strm_total_out counters may be limited to 4 GB. These counters are provided as a convenience and are not used internally by inflate() or deflate().

Why doesn't the zlib OCX work with VB5?

Mark Nelson's FAQ
The zlib OCX that I published in the January 1997 Dr. Dobb's Journal created a simple control that could be used to perform raw compression on a single file at a time. (Unfortunately, some users are getting the OCX sans documentation, and have the mistaken notion that it will work with ZIP format archives.) The control was written using Visual C++ 4.2, with MFC handling all of the ActiveX work. See similar questions...

Will a GB cart work on a GBA ?

GB DEV FAQs
Yes, but you can only run GB/GBC games. You can not run GBA games on a GB cart. The cart interface uses a different voltage and the cart address and data lines are layed out totally differently. An autodetect circuit is used to tell what type of cart is installed and you are then forced into GB or GBA mode. See similar questions...

City of Dunedin Florida
The yard waste code was designed for small amounts of fallen branches and twigs, palm fronds, grass clippings and leaves. Larger items such as logs and limbs, and volumes greater than 2 cubic yards, require special pickups that can be provided by the Solid Waste Division or a private company. The curb is not a dumping ground or storage area for your yard waste. Keeping Dunedin beautiful is important, and adhering to our Solid Waste code ensures a safe and healthy environment for our citizens. See similar questions...

Folder Password Expert FAQ
You cannot password protect folders larger than 4 GB located on a volume that uses the FAT file system. Reasons? Folder Password Expert saves the folder contents to a locked file. The largest file that can exist on Fat32 (Windows 9x/Me) is 4 GB. To create a file larger than 4 GB, you must use Windows NT/2000/XP with the NTFS file system. Also, please note: even if you use the NTFS file system, the folder must not contain a file larger than 4 GB. See similar questions...

How much is a GB?

Randy's Old Time Radio ShowsTypes of Accounts
A GB is 1,000,000 KBytes. Although it can vary and does, a 30 minute show on my site is around 6 1/2 MB is size. If you you put that in bytes it would be 6500. If you divide 6500 into 1,000,000 you will get 153.8 30 minute shows. So for $7.00 you can expect to get somewhere around 100-120 1/2 hours shows. Now not all my 30 minute minute shows are that small, some are smaller, and some are larger, how many shows you get depends on how they were encoded. See similar questions...

Why is my downloaded DVD image smaller than 1 GB when it should be larger than 4 GB?

Frequently Asked Questions about Debian CDs
Most likely, the tool you use for downloading the image does not have large file support, i.e. it has problems downloading files larger than 4 GBytes. The usual symptom for this problem is that when you download the file, the file size reported by your tool (and the amount of data that it downloads) is too small by exactly 4 GB. For example, if the DVD image is 4.4 GB large, your tool will report a size of 0.4 GB. See similar questions...

When would I want a tackle ratio greater than 4:1?

Ocean Marine Frequently Asked Questions
We make our tackles from 3/8" yacht braid, as it is easier to grasp than smaller cordage. It is best to keep the pull on the line down to about 25lbs. If you have a heavier dinghy or an outboard generally larger than about 8HP, a 6:1 tackle makes easy work when lifting the stern of the dinghy. It is seldom required for lifting the bow. It is quite common to have both a 4:1 and a 6:1 on a single installation. See similar questions...
