HASA is the Howell Area Soccer Association. HASA is an all volunteer, self funded, non-profit organization that promotes youth soccer in the Howell/Livingston county area. Players from any geographical area are welcome to become members of HASA teams.

HASA is governed by six elected members; President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Head of Referees, and Head of Coaches. The Executive Committee officer terms are one year in length and are voted into office by the HASA membership at the annual organizational meeting.(top) YES! HASA is a non-profit organization that is capable of accepting donations. HASA is also a volunteer organization so all donations go directly to offset players costs, nets, field fees, and other operating expenses.

How do I sign up for a HASA team?

The first step in becoming a member of a HASA team is to fill out and submit a registration form with the appropriate fee during the registration period. For Recreational teams, teams are filled on a first come, first served basis making it important to register as early as possible. For Select and Premier teams, along with registering, players must participate in a tryout.

Do you have to live in Howell to play on HASA teams?

No. HASA teams have players not only from Howell, but from all over Livingston County and surrounding counties as well. HASA teams have no geographical eligibility requirements. There are also no extra fees for players not living in Howell.(top)

Players participate in soccer for different reasons. The following are rough guidelines to use when considering what type of team a player may be suited for. Recreational: Beginning players, younger players, players who do not desire higher competition, players who have not yet mastered or are further away from mastering a majority of soccer skills for their age group.
