PC1600 is designed for use in systems with a 100MHz front-side bus (effectively 200MHz in DDR mode). PC2100 is designed for use in systems with a 133MHz front-side bus (effectively 266MHz). However, since PC2100 was designed to be backward compatible, it has essentially replaced PC1600 in systems with a 100MHz front-side bus.

Yes. However, if you have a system with both PC1600 and PC2100 modules, the system will only run at a speed of PC1600. A system will only run at PC2100 if all the modules in it are PC2100 and the system supports PC2100.

In order to qualify as PC100, PC133, etc., a memory module must meet industry standards for use in a particular type of system. In SDRAM modules, the numbers that come after the "PC" refer to the speed of the system's front side bus. In DDR modules, the numbers that come after the "PC" refer to the total bandwidth of the module. Here's a short summary of each type. PC100 memory is SDRAM designed for use in systems with a 100MHz front side bus.

PC2100 DDR is designed for use in systems and motherboards which require a 133MHz front-side bus. While the system or motherboard may operate a 133MHz front-side bus, its effective front-side bus speed is 266MHz in DDR operation. To get the effective front-side bus speed of a DDR system, double the operating frequency. PC2700 DDR is designed for use in systems and motherboards which require a 166MHz front-side bus, with an effective front-side bus speed of 333MHz.

SDRAM (single dynamic randomn access memory) is the older style of memory with 2 notches on the stick. The speed of SDRAM is either 100 or 133 MHz (older SDRAM was 66 MHZ - do not mix with pc133 memory !) DDR (double dynamic rate) memory has only 1 notch. The DDR memory will read twice (double) as much information as the SDRAM - the speed of DDR is from 266 to 400 MHz

DDR RAM is designed to run at Double Data Rate unlike older memory like SDRAM (Synchronous Dynamic RAM) this DDR capability is further enhanced by the actual speed of the RAM ie; PC66, PC100, PC133, PC2100 and now even upwards of PC3200.

Day Delegate Rate. This is the cost per person in hiring the conference room. Day Delegate Rates normally come as a package typically including room hire, teas/coffees and lunch. DDR packages will vary from operator to operator and package to package.

Although these are all types of double data rate (DDR) memory, the varying numbers refer to the different speeds of memory your computer was designed for. Crucial no longer carries PC2100 (DDR266) memory, but PC2700 (DDR333) memory and PC3200 (DDR400) are backward-compatible with PC2100. Memory is designed to be backward-compatible, so generally speaking, you can safely add faster memory to a computer that was designed to run slower memory.

Double Data Rate (DDR) technology is the modern variant of Synchronous DRAM technology, providing the fast bandwidth needed by today's high speed computers. DDR is similar to SDRAM in the sense that the commands and data accesses are synchronized to the system clock. DDR technology further increases the data throughput by transferring two data for each clock cycle - one data is transferred when the clock goes high, another when the clock goes low.

DDR DIMMs only work in DDR systems. Your system's motherboard must have 184-pin DIMM slots and a DDR-enabled chipset.

There are a number of different simulators that let you play ddr on your computer. You can buy pads (usually serial port pads) and use those, or just use a keyboard/controller. The simulators section of 'links' has a few places to download the programs themselves.

Each 240-pin DIMM provides a 64-bit data path (72-bit for ECC or registered modules), so they are installed singly in 64-bit systems. pin DIMMs are available in DDR2 PC2-4200 (DDR2-533) SDRAM or DDR2 PC2-3200 (DDR2-400) SDRAM.
