The Police Department Records Division, located in the main lobby of the Police Department at 1 N. San Antonio Rd., is open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays. You may go there to pay a parking fine, or to file paperwork to contest a citation. In order to contest a parking citation, you must pay the associated fine and then request a hearing date.

If you mail payment to this Municipal Court, payment should be made by check or money order. Cash will not be accepted by mail. Send payment to the mailing address above.

If you have received a parking citation and you would like to appeal the citation, you must complete and submit an Administrative Review Form. You must fill out this form within 21 calendar days of the date of the citation and return it to the Parking Office. Provide a complete return address on the back of the form for it to be returned to you. Once the form has been submitted, you will receive a response within two weeks.

Possible judgment is filed with the County and possible suspension of license and/or registration. (FAQ0003-060507)

When you receive a ticket from an El Cajon Police Officer, the ticket will indicate if you are required to appear in court (summons) or have been assessed a penalty. If you have been assessed a penalty, mail your payment to the address indicated on the ticket, or show up in court on the court date indicated. If you have any questions about your ticket, contact the respective court the ticket listed on your citation.

Call the Customer Service Office at 1-866-247-1951 to request an extension. A one-time 10-day extension will be given if you call on or before the due date on the ticket. Customer Service Office hours are Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Credit cards are not accepted. Only check, cash or money order can be paid either by mail or in person. (FAQ0004-060507)

Payment of parking and/or traffic tickets can be made at 5 Ray Lawson Blvd. OR at City Hall, 2 Wellington St. W.; 1st Floor. However; if you wish to discuss a ticket; call 905-450-4770, or go to the Provincial Offences Office at S Ray Lawson Blvd. The City does recognize Brampton residents celebrating 50th and 60th wedding anniversaries, special birthdays and other significant events with a certificate from the Mayor's Office.
