Pseudocatalase, also called Pcat for short, is a cream, that is applied twice a day, and purported to reduce epidermal hydrogen peroxide in vitiliginous skin, found to be in higher levels in those with vitiligo. Pseudocatalase is usually done in combination with narrow band UVB light therapy. Pseudocatalase does not make the skin more sun sensitive. The original formula is only available from Germany. There have been no independent studies of Pseudocatalse to support its effectiveness.

Yes, the PCAT is required and it is a standardized entrance examination specific to pharmacy schools. It is similar to other standardized entrance examinations and evaluates the areas of math, chemistry, biology, reading comprehension, and writing.

We require the Pharmacist College Admissions Test (PCAT). We do not require the GRE. Our program is at an undergraduate level for the first two years, and a graduate level for the last two years.

No. The PCAT is not required by Purdue University to enter the pre-pharmacy program or the professional program. Yes. The School of Pharmacy has plan of study curriculum guides for many of the schools in Indiana. However, coursework does not need to be fulfilled in Indiana. Admission will be on an individual basis, with a cut-off GPA of 2.75 required to be considered. A 50% composite PCAT score and above will factor into the interview process.
