A.A. is a program of total abstinence. Members simply stay away from one drink, one day at a time. Sobriety is maintained through sharing experience, strength, and hope at group meetings and through the suggested Twelve Steps for recovery from alcoholism. 1

It means that, as far as we can possibly tell, on any trip or event created by Sober Celebrations the top priority of the circle of attendees will be in maintaining sobriety under all circumstances anywhere in the world.

There must be a life altering event to shake up the alcoholic so badly that the decision to give up drinking becomes more appealing than staying drunk. This shake up is loosely called "intervention." And, it could be an unorganized, grueling jumble of personal tragedy for the alcoholic and the family. This may be in the form of divorce, job loss, financial ruin, domestic violence, child neglect, jail, cirrhosis, insanity and ultimately death.

Gina is the name of the woman Hope "pretended" to be when she was believed to be dead from 1990-1994. Hope was brainwashed and given the identity of Princess Gina to help Stefano steal paintings and do his bad deeds. No, not at all. Hope was believed to have been dead after an accident with the magician known as Ernesto Toscano. Ernesto was obsessed with Hope and took her in a cage hanging over a vat of acid.

Stage of cancer refers to the approximate size of a tumor. Prostate cancer staging is based primarily on DRE. Most men with prostate cancer have normal prostate examinations. This is referred to as stage T1c disease. A small abnormal area on DRE known as a prostate nodule is classified as T2a, a larger nodule as T2b. Patients with large nodules felt to represent tumor that has grown beyond the confines of the prostate or beyond the capsule have stage T3 disease.

On April 25, 2007, GINA passed the House of Representatives with a vote of 420 in favor to 3 opposed. You can see more about the results of the voting at the Washington Post Votes Database. Additionally, "The Personal Genome" has a youtube video of Representative Slaughter testifying before the House on the day the bill was passed.

There were 9 Representatives who did not register a vote, and there were 3 Nay votes. The Nay votes were cast by Representatives Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Ed Royce (R-CA), and Ron Paul (R-TX). I was unable to find a press release for any of the three Representatives stating why they might have opposed the bill.
