What is right-of-way?
Fencing OnlineRight-of-way is the set of rules used to determine who is awarded the point when there is a double touch in foil or sabre (ie. both fencers hit each other in the same fencing time). It is detailed in the FIE Rules of Competition, Articles 232-237 (foil) and 416-423 (sabre). Since no points will be scored in the first situation, we can ignore it. In the second situation, the fencers' actions have equal significance, and it is impossible to award a touch. See similar questions...

Frequently Asked QuestionsConcrete is a commonly requested material. To be honest, we don't know much about gluing to concrete. You could check with some building sites. Cement is the adhesive that holds concrete together. It will take some research on our part but we are thinking about doing concrete. A very cool and specialized glue! It does its job then you can roll it into ball and ... well, have a ball with it. The glue that is used for "tip ins" (magazine jargon) is referred to as a Peel and Stick glue. When the boots feel comfortable, add the basic jumps you can land consistently. You may find that when the boots are new, you may have to relace the boots during the session to allow the lace to stretch, leather stretching and foam tongues compression. See similar questions...

AMVIC also is far less labor intensive to use where there are frequent openings and/or popouts as are frequently the case in residential construction. See similar questions...
Question: What's the difference between cement and concrete?
Century Cement- F.A.Q.Answer: Cement (sometime referred to as Portland Cement or hydraulic cement) is one component of concrete. Cement is to concrete what flour is to a loaf of bread. Concrete is basically a mixture of 2 components: aggregates and paste. The paste, comprised of cement and water, binds the aggregates (sand and stone or grael) into a rocklike mass as the paste hardens because of the chemical reaction of the cement and water. This reaction is called hydration. See similar questions...
Question: What makes concrete crack?
Century Cement- F.A.Q.Answer: Concrete "shrinks" slightly as it hardens. A normal shrinkage rate is approximately 1/8" per 10 linear feet. This shrinkage is caused by loss of excess water from the mix. Obviously, the "wetter" the mix, the higher the shrinkage rate. Control joints should be placed in the concrete at intervals equal to 2.5 times (in feet) the thickness of the slab. For example, a slab 4" thick should have control joints every 10 feet.
