To date, RMST has recovered approximately 5,000 objects from the Titanic’s wreck site, ranging from delicate porcelain dishes to a 20-ton section of the ship’s outer hull.

None of the objects that RMST recovers from the Titanic will ever be offered for private sale. All artifacts—defined as objects that were a part of the Titanic or possessed by a person on board—will be maintained together as a collection and remain available to the public. Coal does not fall under this definition, and is therefore the only object recovered from the wreck available for sale to the public.

From the beginning, RMST has pledged to recover and conserve the artifacts to the highest technical, archaeological and museum standards and to maintain them in a permanent collection that will be displayed to the public around the world. All recovered artifacts are treated immediately after they are exposed to air.

RMST has held major exhibitions of Titanic artifacts at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England; in Tokyo and Yokohama, Japan; Hamburg, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Memphis, Tennessee; Long Beach, California; St. Petersburg, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; St. Paul, Minnesota; and Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Artifacts have the potential to tell many things about the way people lived in the past. By carefully examining their shape, evidence is collected on their manufacture, age, and uses. Archeologists can also conduct replicative experiments to gain a better understanding of how tools were made and used, or how shelters were built. Physical and chemical tests provide detailed information on the age of organic materials, and the types of residues left on tools.

Artifacts from public land are the property of the state or federal government and cannot be collected or excavated without a valid permit. Artifacts from private land are the property of the landowner. Collecting or excavating at these is trespassing and/or vandalism without the express permission of the owner. The only exception is human burials. These are protected by law in the entire state. No one may knowingly disturb a grave or excavate it without a permit.

More than 3,000 artifacts are on display. The oldest is a spear point, over 9,500 years old, that was recovered from a site in southern Alberta where a now extinct form of bison was killed.

It is NARA policy to make evidentiary objects available for viewing only when a researcher's needs cannot be met by a review of pictures, reproductions, or descriptions of the object and when production of the original will not cause damage or harm to the original. We will be glad to consider your request to see the physical evidence if you will: Identify which specific exhibit or exhibits you wish to see. A general request to see all of the physical exhibits is not sufficient.

Many artifacts are familiar to players of HEROES II, but HEROES III will include many new artifacts including a 'relic' class of items. Replacing the Ultimate Artifact is the Grail, a fantastic item that allows you a special town upgrade that gives several major benefits to the owning player based on the town type. Spells in HEROES III have been divided into four schools - Earth, Air, Fire and Water.

RMST has conducted five research and recovery expeditions to the Titanic’s wreck, in 1987, 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1998. no time has RMST caused any damage to the Titanic. Although allegations have been made that RMST damaged the crow’s nest while recovering an artifact, this is absolutely untrue. On every expedition, RMST has partnered with IFREMER, the French National Oceanographic agency that is on the leading edge of deep-ocean technology and archaeology.

Organs are recovered in an sterile operating room using qualified surgical personnel and protocols. Tissues are often recovered in operating rooms but can also be recovered in sterile surgical facilities at medical examiners' offices or at some mortuaries. All donations are a precious gift and are treated with respect and dignity. Standard surgical sutures or staples are used to close the incisions - just as with any operation.

There are reported cases that some children with autism have substantially or completely recovered. Commonweal, a non-profit health and environmental research institute, is conducting an autism recovery documentation project that will provide a detailed report of a number of verifiable recoveries from ASD (see Helping to Shift the Paradigm: Learning More About Recovery in Autism by Robert Sinaiko).

In Situ is a procedure where only the cornea is removed. The corneas are then used in corneal transplants to restore vision. The Eye Bank is now almost exclusively utilizing the In Situ procedure. Enucleation is the removal of the whole eye. Whole eyes are used for medical education, training, and local research. The sclera (white part of the eye) is also used for glaucoma filtering procedures, orbital implants, and reconstructive eye surgery.

Organs are recovered as soon as possible after the determination of brain death. The ventilator (breathing machine) will continue to provide oxygen to the organs until arrangements are made for the organ recovery surgery. Tissue may be removed within 12 to 24 hours.

Artifacts dating to the 18th and 19th centuries were recovered. They are generally broken pieces of glass, plates and dishes that were thrown away. However, several whole pieces were found as well. Clam, oyster shells and other food and leftover items, such as 200 year old disposable pipe stems, were also commonly found, as were various animal bones, kitchen utensils, medicine bottles, and an assortment of other items.

It is illegal to dig for artifacts without the landowner's permission. On state-owned and controlled lands, including sovereignty-submerged lands, the Division of Historical Resources, Bureau of Archaeological Research grants permission to conduct archaeological investigations. Digging for artifacts on state lands without a permit from DHR is a third degree felony (Chapters 267.061 and 267.12-13, Florida Statutes, and Rule 1A-32 of the Florida Administrative Code).
