In the dry season there is a low probability that your DStv system will be affected by weather. In the rainy season severe rain may interrupt reception for brief periods, and cause a temporary loss of picture quality.

Well for one, we have enormous objects that can block and reflect FM and TV radio waves. We call them mountains! The land in much of rural New England is very rocky and hilly. There are two types of tags: "passive" (no independent power source) and "active" (containing a battery or attached to one). First and foremost, ensure that your Sirius antenna has a clear line of sight to the sky. Any obstructions could cause dropouts or even a complete inability to acquire a signal. As the antenna is weather resistant, positioning it outside could help provide clearer and more consistent reception. Many commercial or industrial building are shielded from radio magnetic signal to prevent interference to equipment. Also, unlike your house, there are normally very few windows in these buildings where radio signal can "sip" in. In addition, most phone system is located in server room or equipment room. In a room jam packed with equipments or servers, the strong electro-magnetic interference generated will distort any radio signal.

The antenna can be mounted in several different locations. The roof, the trunk or my personal favorite, inside on the rear parcel shelf.
