We have introductory courses that are available on CD. These are a 40-hour introductory course and a 50-hour intermediate course.

Yes, we offer all courses, except Practicum, as an internet-based distance learning course. Check the course schedule for the current and future course offerings. Be advised that certain courses also have a required lab component which will require a student's presence on campus during announced lab times. Additionally, course testing is administered at an ACC testing center.

None of the media housed in our library may be lent, however, given the appropriate time to locate libraries willing to lend media, we may be able to obtain them from another source.

Yes and No. EMIL contains distance learning opportunities between residences. However, you must attend all five residences in person to receive an EMIL degree.

Distance Learning students should be prepared for the amount of self-directedness and independence that come with these kinds of courses. This brings a certain level of responsibility that students have to ensure their success in courses. NWACC wants DL students to be motivatived, organized, and communicative in their class. You may register as a part-time or full-time students. Your enrollment will follow the academic terms, Fall, Spring, and Summer. Remember, 128 hours is minimum for graduation with the bachelor's degree.

Most students who enroll in distance education courses are over 25 years of age, employed, and have previous college experience. Over half are female.
