Points Members can also take Cottage Holidays as Points Partner Specials, paying with Points and cash. Alternatively, you can book a Cottage Holiday from Extra Holidays without having to exchange your Week or use your Points. For precise costs, please call an RCI Guide at your local office.

Occasionally the owner of the property may be able to accommodate your alternative requirements ? you should contact them directly to discuss this (you will receive contact details on your Holiday confirmation). Please be aware that in the majority of cases, arrivals can only be accepted on the specified start date for the benefit of subsequent guests. Please call the owner or caretaker about a week before your Cottage Holiday, with your estimated arrival time.

We will supply you with a directional map either in person or by email when you reserve the chalet. We do not supply directions or addresses on our website to preserve the privacy of those currently staying at the chalets.

Dry curd cottage cheese, also known as baker's cheese, Friendship hoop cheese, or Friendship farmer's cheese, is available in most of the grocery stores. If your local store does not stock it, ask them and they will order it on request. You may need to look around the store -- some have discovered DCCC with the gourmet cheeses! DCCC can be frozen, so feel free to buy plenty and store it in the freezer.

Our insurance policy does not cover any damages done by people who rent the cottage. Therefore we have established a policy of only renting to "responsible" adults (ie. people who meet our risk management requirements). Families or mature adults are readily welcome. For our protection , you will be asked to complete a rental application form, sign a waiver and indemnification agreement, and pay a damage deposit (usually 50% of the rental fee).

The Children's Home looks for cottage parents who are commited Christians and have a genuine concern for the well being of children and youth. "On the job" training and supervision are provided by highly qualified staff members. It is helpful to have couples as cottage parents, but cottage parents include single and married persons who range in age from young adults to those of mature years.

Firstly, you have to decide which cottage you'd like to rent, but not before checking for its availability. Read the details, check the rates and then Email or call us. We would recommend to not send the deposit and application prior to get the confirmation from us as you may be looking to rent at the same time with other people and the calendar does not show the status in real time.

You are expected to leave the cottage in the same condition you found it when checked in. This means that a thorough cleaning must be done by you and/or your party prior to your departure. Cleaning supplies and a cleaning check list are provided by us via cleaner or left in conspicuous ploace. The cottage will be inspected by the cleaner as soon as you leave to ensure everything is in order for incoming guests.

First setting: An approximate arrival time (e.g., Friday at 4:30 p.m.) at which the thermostat heats to comfort level. Second setting: Commands a temperature decrease in case you do not show up at your cottage/vacation residence that weekend. E.g., this second setting could be for Friday at 7:30 p.m. This way, the thermostat only heats for a short time if you do not show up at your cottage/vacation home on a particular weekend.
