IDD services are not activated by default. You can activate it through the Online Portal. Go to Value Added Services and click Activate IDD Services.

If your Staff ID have been given permission to make IDD calls by your department you can use any NUS IPTel Cisco 7940 or Cisco 7960 IP Phone to access the IDD service by pressing the "Services" button and select Option 5 "NUS IDD". You will be prompted to enter your Staff ID and PIN and be authenticated before you can make IDD calls. Note that the same PIN is used for accessing voicemail and the IPTel Options Settings.

If you have registered your NUS DID number with an IDD service provider, you can dial 9+IDD Prefix+country code+area code+number. Note that the IDD prefix excludes Singtel's 001, 013 and 019 services as these are reserved for NUS corporate use only.

The display of the overseas' caller's ID depends on the foreign service provider. If the foreign service provider does not forward the caller's ID to Singtel our IPTel phone will not display the number.

Yes. Supposed you are working with another department A. First, approach the Phone Administrator of department A to activate for you. You will be given a charge code for your IDD calls. Enter this charge code when you make IDD calls. The costs of the IDD calls will then appear in the IPTel bill of department A.
