Is there a hard case or gig bag made for the EWI4000s?

WIND CONTROLLER FAQ (UPDATED)
There is no hard case specifically designed for the EWI4000s. Folks have reported success using the soprano sax hard case by Protec, a padded soprano sax gig bag by Ritter, a Reunion Blues soprano sax gig bag, this one is reported to work, and the Gard Leather Soprano gig bag. Jenart Design has reportedly designed a case specifically for the EWI4000s. It should be noted that the Yamaha hard case designed for the WX5 will NOT fit the EWI4000s.

DWC FAQs on Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS)
DWC will not destroy documents immediately. Paper documents will be kept for a period of time. To be prudent, paper files will not be destroyed until the system has been successfully running for some time, and backup capability has been demonstrated and tested. See similar questions...

Should I choose a hard or soft case for my diagnostic set?

Frequently Asked Questions - Medical Students
It's a matter of personal preference. Both Welch Allyn cases provide sufficient protection. The hard case lays the instruments out very nicely, but the soft case is somewhat smaller. It is very important that your set fit in your lab coat and both cases allow for this. See similar questions...

My EWI4000s is playing out of tune on all patches. Why?

WIND CONTROLLER FAQ (UPDATED)
The global fine tuning parameter (parameter "tu") may not be set to "40" (A=440). Make sure the TRANS LED is not lit. If it is, then you are transposing the horn out of the key of C (concert pitch). You may need to calibrate the EWI's bend sensors so the pitch is centered. This is very easy to do. Enter AD mode on the EWI4000s by holding the SETUP button and use the side keys to scroll through the parameters until "AD" shows in the display. See similar questions...

How hard is it?

The Inca Trail FAQ
That will depend on you and what you're used to. It's generally reckoned to be a strenuous hike, but there's no rock-climbing or glacier-walking involved, so no technical expertise is required. The difficulty comes largely from the repeated steep ascents and descents, and from the high altitude. The climb to the first pass takes you up from around 2000m (6500ft) to more than 4000m (13000ft) in a relatively short space, followed by a descent of around 1500m (5000ft). See similar questions...

I cannot blow enough air through my EWI4000s. What can I do about this airflow problem?

WIND CONTROLLER FAQ (UPDATED)
It should be noted that the EWI4000s was designed with a semi-open airflow system. That is to say that unlike what your teachers may have taught you, you SHOULD let some air escape from the corners of your mouth when blowing into the EWI4000s. This type of system allows for far greater control over air flow by the player and feels exactly the same as blowing all the air through the horn. See similar questions...

How are others setting up the Oct and Hold buttons on their EWI4000s?

WIND CONTROLLER FAQ (UPDATED)
I turn off the "dP" parameter and prefer to touch the Program Change sensor and use the two side keys to scroll through patches. I also have my "Ho" parameter set to "LE" and my "Oc" parameter set to "ln". This allows me to play two notes and change the interval then, while blowing, lock in the interval and play it in parallel. This is great fun! You can do this in realtime while playing. I did this a bit in the EWI4000s soundbank demo here. See similar questions...

What are the differences between the newer EWI4000s and the older EWI models?

WIND CONTROLLER FAQ (UPDATED)
On the EWI4000s, everthying is self-contained. The older EWI models (EWI1000, EWI3000, EWI3020) required a companion sound modeul connected via a proprietary (and expensive) EWI connecting cable. The EWI4000s has a MIDI OUT jack right on the body of the instrument. Also the EWI4000s has a built in analog modeling sound module built into the body and it all runs off of 4 AA battteires. There are now two grounding plates on the EWI4000s model- one under each thumb. See similar questions...

There are a number of suppliers offering different grades of 'hard cases' some of which are rather less 'hard' than one would think!. Hiscox offer a large range of suitably tough cases for most purposes as do SKB. Then you'll have to get a 'baggage-handler-proof' flight case. Scottish Foam[4] offer a wide rage of flight and transit cases, for a variety of musical instrument and equipment. RJ Flytes[5] also offer flight cases. See similar questions...

How did you get your first gig?

The Physics Chanteuse FAQ
the time I invented the Physics Chanteuse, I was doing graduate work in physics multimedia pedagogy at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I heard that they had a solid state conference coming up so I pitched the idea of performing at the banquet. I created the Physics Chanteuse on my website before I ever did a show and it was on this basis that the kind folks from Lincoln (Dr. Sitaram Jaswal and Dr. Roger Kirby) hired me to produce a show for the 44th Midwest Solid State Conference. How can I get my gig to the top of the listings?

Lemonrock live music gig guide - FAQs (Frequently Asked Ques...
Gigs for each day are shown in the gig guide in the order they were added to the site, so the sooner you add them, the more exposure they'll get. Regular gigs are always listed after all the one-off gigs. If you are appearing at a venue that is not already on Lemonrock, you must create a page for the venue first. Simply specifying a nonexistent venue does not automatically create it. See similar questions...

What was your best gig ever?

index
Watford Jon - We recently played in Tampere, Finland, and it was absolutely amazing. The people are great and so is the beer. The place was packed out with 300 people and they went mad from the opening chord until we walked off stage. We could have kept playing all night, it was fantastic. See similar questions...
