Do I still practice ballet?

FAQs
For 16 years or so, ballet was such a large part of my life that people find it strange that I don’t really practice it anymore. I think many who have studied something for so long would agree that it is hard to do it again at a much less intense rate. To be at the same level of ability I had reached before quitting or even close, I would have to take lessons and practice pretty much everyday which obviously I can no longer do.

That's open to debate, because there's no general agreement on how balletic a performance has to be to qualify as a ballet. Two performances are usually singled out by historians, however. One is a danced entertainment that was put on at a banquet celebrating the marriage of Gian Galeazzo, Duke of Milan, in 1489. Each course of the banquet was introduced by a dance. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the University of Conn...
Beginners (and advanced students for that matter) should establish a regular and consistent training schedule in order to learn techniques efficiently and not develop too many bad habits. In general, the more you train the faster you'll learn. Three times a week is a reasonable target for beginners to aspire to. Two times a week is OK, but learning is slower. Progress is very slow and bad habits become rampant at practice levels below two times per week.

Some people suggest taking this all in order. In real life, you pretty much HAVE to do them in order because if you can't hover, you can't take off or land without killing your helicopter or your spectators. In the sim you can do anything safely! Work on hovering, and when that gets frustrating, work on flying around. When that gets frustrating, work on hovering some more. Switch back and forth all you want, or just focus on one thing until you have it down.

Who invented ballet?

Ballet-Modern FAQ - Part 4
No one person did; it evolved gradually from the popular dances of the period. Many of the greatest dancers in the 20th century have been Russian, but ballet arose in Italy and matured in France (see Questions D.3 andD.5, below).
