What size rim do I need for skinnies, and do I need spacers too?

SSOTN - Modular FAQ
On a GT you can run a single 7/16 spacer and a 15x3.5 in front skinny. The Cobra is a lot more involved. You need to run 2 spacers and put longer studs on for the skinnies to clear the calipers. There have been some questions regarding this mod being legal and safe for certain racing groups but it does allow you to keep your Cobra brakes and run skinnies.

How do I determine my wheel/rim size?

Hubcaps Plus Frequently Asked Questions
When checking tire size it's not necessary to measure anything. The diameter of your existing hubcap or rim is not your wheel/rim size, and will not give you the correct dimension. All tires have a "size series" printed on them that contains the wheel/rim size. This series of numbers usually begins with a P. - (example: P175/70/R15) In the tire "size series" the two digit number following the R denotes your wheel/rim size. (In the example the wheel/rim size is 15")

What size system do I need?

Frequently Asked Questions - Drying & Dehydration | Nyle...
The first step is to determine how much lumber you’ll dry in a year. Then figure your average drying time for each of the species you’ll be drying, and you can calculate the size kiln you need from there. For example: you need to dry 500,000 board feet of oak per year. Fresh off the saw, oak takes about 28-30 days to dry, so you’ll be able to do 12 loads in a year. Each load will need to be 42,000 board feet to give you the 500,000 board feet you need for the year.

Do you need to use tile spacers when installing the tiles?

Exotic Metal Interiors, Inc : stainless steel, copper, patin...
No, you do not need to use tile spacers to install the tiles. The chamfered edge provides an elegant look when installed "tile to tile". The 45-degree chamfered edge provides a natural caulking channel when the tiles are butted together. The XT-200 mastic allows sufficient time to adjust the spacing "by eye" for difficult areas. *Tile spacers can be used if you require large grout lines.

Do I need to install gaskets with the ThermoBlok spacers, or do they replace the manifold gaskets?

Outlaw Engineering
ThermoBloks should be installed with gaskets, which is why most kits contain extra gaskets for the spacers. Users may elect to apply a "sensor safe" gasket sealant such as Permatex #1 instead. The 1/4" (6.35 mm) addition to the runner length will indeed shift the torque curve to the left slightly, about 50 RPM. This has actually been proven to be a benefit as it helps to restore some of the torque lost due to the addition of larger intakes and exhausts.

What size tank do I need?

Frequently Asked Cichlid Questions
The general rule of thumb in aquarium keeping is to have no more that one inch of fish per gallon of water. Thus, if you had a twenty gallon tank (with no substrate or rocks to diminish the total water volume), you could have five 4-inch fish. This formula also assumes you will change 25% of the tank volume each week. See What is a water change? Why is it important? for more details. Realistically, however, you will need to consider the following factors when choosing what size tank to purchase:

I don't feel the need to keep the throttle body cool, can I buy the intake manifold spacers only?

Outlaw Engineering
This is a common question made by people that don't fully understand the operation of the system. The throttle body spacer is not meant to keep the throttle body cool, but is meant to keep the intake manifold insulated from the heat of the throttle body. Remember that most throttle bodies are heated by engine coolant to keep ice from forming in cold climates. This heat transfers from the throttle body to the intake so that the intake is now effectively heated from both ends.

Question: I have a bunch of similar spacers that I need. Can I get better pricing?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Answer: Yes. You should request special pricing when you have a variety of similar items. We have made groups of items that had the same OD & same ID but the lengths were different. In that case, we calculated all of the parts as one quantity and added a small 'change-over' fee for the length changes. The result was that the customer saved money and we won the order. Answer: Aluminum has proven to be the most economical way to make spacers most of the time for a variety of reasons.
