Will I get any updates?

Grey Alien BlitzMax Game Framework FAQ (General)
Yes! As soon as I've made enough improvements/fixes to justify a release, I'll send you an update. I've already sent out quite a lot since it was launched. Please make sure that you backup any of your own modifications to the source code before installing the update so that you don't overwrite your work. Hopefully most of the updates won't change the way that the core engine works and thus won't "break" any of your existing code.

What is namespace, how to use "using namespace std;"?

FAQ on C/C++/Unix by Roseanne Zhang, Java Programmer Certifi...
Namespaces allow to group entities like classes, objects and functions under a name. This way the global scope can be divided in "sub-scopes", each one with its own name. All the files in the C++ standard library declare all of its entities within the std namespace. That is why we have generally included the using namespace std; statement in all programs that used any entity defined in iostream. Compare the following two, you know why we prefer the second way to write our code.

People on the forum tell me I should not be using STD?

Knoppix STD: FAQ
Many people come to STD thinking it is just another Knoppix which is wrong. What they mean is that if you are a n00b you have allot of work in front of you before you even start. Also you have to realise that there are only a limited number of people on the forums and they are here to talk specifically about security stuff not Linux... so you may not get an answer to your n00b question. Remember, there is a reason why there are so many different Linux distro's out there.
