Yes. You can edit your Intranet homepage from any location that allows you to log into your server account. But keep in mind that unless you are on the CBUnet, you will not be able to view your Intranet homepage after you edit it!

It's easy! If you know how to publish to CBU's Internet webserver, you're halfway toward publishing on our Intranet! To learn how to publish to the CBU Intranet, read the directions for publishing to the CBU World Wide Web, but use 'Intra_WWW' as the name of the publish directory (instead of WWW).

Login to "My Blackboard," > Login to specific course > (Student) Tools > Edit Your Homepage > Submit. To View: Login to "My Blackboard," > Login to specific course > Communication > Roster > List All >List All

Users accessing CBU's Intranet webserver must be on the CBUnet. If you use a local ISP such as BellSouth.net or Time Warner's Road Runner service, the Intranet is not available because you are not accessing the Internet via the CBUnet. The only way to access the Intranet from off campus is to dial into the Internet through CBU's dialup Internet service.

If you are not dialed into the Internet through CBU's dialup Internet service, the answer to the above question applies here also.

Every user has his or her own homepage that can be accessed by every registered user. You can find your own homepage by following the MY PROFILE link in the top left corner on your screen. There you will find the tab 'About me' which is your homepage.

From your 'Admin account' section follow the link called 'Edit Home Page of your site' where you will get an option to edit your homepage, photo and description about your family.

Maintaining an intranet within an organisation is an ongoing task. It is always a good idea to have at least one person within the organisation who is ultimately responsible for the management of the intranet. That is not to say that they should be solely responsible for updating the intranet as updating can be delegated to individual throughout the company. However they are responsible to ensure that intranet is being updated regularly and the content being submitted is appropriate.

This is a good idea, because of the Internal Announcements AND because a list of daily campus events is shown every day on the Intranet homepage.

Most HKU applications are now accessible via the HKU Portal from the Internet at http://www.hku.hk/portal/ If the system you wish to access is not found in the HKU Portal, you can access the HKU Intranet from home by connecting to the HKU network (HKUPPP or HKUVPN). You must download and install the software "winframe" in order to be able to access the CD-Roms in the library. Click the Download link at and install it on your PC.

Your breeder homepage is automatically created upon entering and registering as a member with a breeder affix (found on the stud dog registration page). You may enter some text about your kennel here also and to edit the text upon successfully registering, click 'My profile' from within the member center on the right hand navigation panel.

Intranet is a communications and productivity tool that utilizes standard Internet protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, HTTP, and HTML, search engines, etc.) within an organization or company. It allows companies to connect employees and enable them to easily access company resources using standard Internet browsers, cutting costs and enhancing productivity.
