The Class Representative(s) do not need to pay any money to bring the suit, but may have to provide paperwork and background information relative to the case. Over the course of the lawsuit, the Representative(s) may have to answer questions about the case, including in a deposition defended by their lawyers. The Representative(s) would be guided and assisted in these matters by their attorneys.

The firm will meet with that person and then examine the matter to determine the best course of action based on its evaluation of the merits of the case.

You will receive your pro rata share of any judgment or settlement, at a minimum. If you incur travel or other expenses or lose time from employment due to your participatjion, you should receive reimbursement. In some instance you might be entitled to an incentive award for bringing the action.

Our experience has shown that courts are more likely to look favorably on our cases, and there appears to be a greater chance of success in surviving preliminary motions to dismiss, when we have a large number of named class representatives. We therefore encourage you to become a named class representative if at all possible.

Credit not yet posted to your student record would affect your class level. Verify that all transfer credit, Education Abroad Program credit, Advanced Placement credit, etc. have been posted. Students who have outstanding Incomplete grades or Withdraw (W) grades on their record cannot calculate those credits into their earned credits. If you are a full-time student you are expected to take and pass 15 credits each quarter.

BBS Ph.D. students report that they spend an average of fifteen hours per week per course during the six weeks of the External Residency A. The Internal Residency module week consists of 28 hours of classroom contact time and 12 hours of directed library research. The External Residency B (post-module six weeks) workload is similar to the pre-module weeks while students finish their final research paper, usually of 40-50 pages in length. Ph.D.
