The fishing in the Los Suenos – Jaco Beach region is excellent year round, however during certain months of the year, different species of Game fish are more abundant than others. It really depends on what you want to fish for but if your like most folks its Marlin. A good rule of thumb is the hotter it is the better the fishing will be. Warm water is what they're looking for. Generally speaking no. The problem that arises with a full moon is it sometimes effects the live bait availability. The chuhuilla and caballitos tend to swim a little deeper making them harder to catch. However, a full moon also brings out the Dorado so there is a slight advantage there.

Answer: The beauty of Florida is we can nearly fish 365 days a year if the weather were to cooperate. Basically, there are fish everywhere year round. Some are here every day (redfish and sea trout) and there are some who are generally here when it’s warmer (snook, tarpon, etc). Every month is great each just brings something a little different.

We always say the best time to come is 'when you can.' However true that is, there is no denying the summer and fall months are the most consistent fishing. Beginning in late May and early June we begin to see hatches of considerable size on most rivers. Because of these hatches and the abundance of food they provide, the fish are more 'on the feed' for a longer duration. Hatches of substantial size will run through October. During summer it is common to see other anglers.

The 'dry' season from April to October seems to be generally considered preferable, at least as far as weather is concerned.

Although you can get a tattoo any time of the year, your skin gets a lot more abuse during the summer with swimming, tanning and just being exposed to the elements more. Winter time is really the best season to get a tattoo.

Mosquitoes start to come out when the outside temperature is consistently above about 50 degrees Fahrenheit. This is when you should begin control by running your unit. When the temperature falls consistently below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, the mosquitoes will be gone and you can put your unit away for the season.

Although I encourage live release of most fish, you are certainly welcome to keep any & all fish allowed by law.

Fishing in Costa Rica is great all year round, many believe it has a lot to do with the different phases of the moon. As far as the weather, Costa Rica has two seasons: The High Season also known as the "dry season" beings towards the end of November and runs through early May. The Green Season fluctuates annually; however, tends to being in late May and runs through November.

Not surprisingly, there is no simple answer to this question. The Snake River is best from mid to late August through September. October can also be very good depending on water conditions. The Green River fishes best from mid to late July through mid August. The New Fork River is best from late June through the first two weeks of July. Yellowstone and Lewis lakes are great in June and the first half of July. The Salt River is best from late July through August.

In October or November, however, December and January are not too late to ensure adequate protection against the flu.

Any summer month is good for halibut (winter would work too, if the fishermen didn't mind freezing their fingers). The big flatfish live on the bottom and seem little influenced by what's going on up above. For salmon fishing, however, you must meet the runs of fish returning to the rivers to spawn. A run can be as short as a week of peak fishing in each stream for each of the five species of Pacific salmon, and when that week happens varies in every stream.

Striped Bass- they are pretty consistent all year long, but the best months are generally May, June, August, September and October. May and June are your best bet for surface popper action, while the later months tend to yield larger fish. Bluefish- they move in around the end of May or beginning of June and keep chomping our lures until they head south in late October or early November.
