After five failed attempts to log on using the same account, the account becomes locked out. This policy ensures others do not try to guess or otherwise hack another user's account. After five minutes, you should be able to try logging in again.

Web Mail doesn't save passwords, but your browser has a feature to do so. See this FAQ for help, and this comment. To change your password, click My Account at the top of any page and log in there. Change your password under Profiles. If I switch to Earthlink Premium Mail will I still have some access to dial up. I have DSL at home but still have a need for about 5 hours a month to use dial up at another location. Thanks.

You may change your password from the Preferences. In the Preference tree, Change Password is under Server Preferences.

To update your password, log in to your member account by typing in your email and password. Once there click on the “change password” link and type in a new password and click the “submit” button to save your new password. You can now access the site with your new password. To reset your password, click on the “Forgot Password” button under the customer login section. On the next page enter your email address and click the “Send email” button.

You can use your payroll proper name (william.gates) or an account alias (bill.gates) to login. You DO NOT need your entire e-mail address as you did with the old server.

From https://webmail.fdu.edu, please select “Request Password Reminder”. You will be presented with a personal question that you selected at the time you created your account. Once you provide the answer to this question, you will be prompted to change your password. To access the login page, please try to visit any site outside of the FDU domain.

Go to the ID Query page, enter your nine digit student ID number (your 900 number) and birthdate, click the circle that says you agree to the Student Handbook's policies, and click Submit. You will see your WebCT and sometimes your email passwords. If you don't see your webmail password, you can have it reset in the lab either in the library or in Building C.

This will display the General settings page where you can customize your webmail settings and appearance. Click the UPDATE button to save your settings. The new layout will appear the next time you login to webmail.

Once logged in, click the Options and Styles drop down box, all of your preferences are accessed here. Your general e-mail preferences, are of course under Preferences, there are a number of other options. You can also pick your preferred style under Pick A Style... (that changes the appearance of your web mail interface).

Please click on "Options" in the navigation menu above the Inbox; click on "language" and select for example "English GB" from the drop-down menu and click on the "Save Options" button.
