Mazatrol is a proprietary conversational programming language that is standard on all Mazak mills and lathes. It is primarily used for 2 & 2 1/2 axis work and especial popular for turning applications. If you get an error when you backplot, Editor needs to know where the files reside that hold the machine parameters, other known as Template files. These files are located under the Editor folder in Program Files.

The Predator Mazatrol object is software that allows Predator DNC to transfer Mazatrol programs. Typically a proprietary Mazak floppy drive is carried around the shop and is used for offline storage of Mazatrol programs. Predator DNC with the Mazatrol object allows up to 256 CNCs to load and save Mazatrol programs as well as EIA programs on to any Windows 95, 98 or NT server.

Yes, MazaCAM reads existing Mazatrol programs including Mazak's Microdisk format (via the serial port), the Fusion Floppy Disk format as well as Mazatrol programs saved in other software formats, such as Griffo, Shoplink, etc. Yes, MazaCAM is capable of handling lathes with a C and/or Y-axis (live tooling).
