The multiplayer game offers three modes of play. Although the fundamental gameplay is the same, each game 'plays' very differently. The first mode of play - the traditional multiplayer game - uses the same world as the single player campaign. The second mode of play - a user definable game (from a list of options) - is meant to play in a much shorter timeframe.

Only a 'hotseat' mode at the same computer.. A game of this nature, I believe, isn't well suited for multi-player, at least not actively. However, there does exist small communities that like to play multiplayer kind of games, scenarios and such where the winner is the one to reach the objective or highest score over some time period.
