Windows 2000 and Windows XP provide their own certified drivers for some EMU10kX-based audio cards. Our kX Audio Driver has not been certified by Microsoft (WHQL-ed) and thus a special installation procedure might be required. It is recommended that you first try running kXSetup, and if that fails, follow our Windows XP installation guide.

The DLLs on the CD include all the information you need to debug TAO applications. This information is normally stored by Visual C++ in .pdb files. Our builds store them in the .dll in a location independent manner (using the C7 compatible option for the debug information). This allows you to step into TAO code in the Visual C++ debugger. If you use the QuikRuler with your computer, the computer will treat the QuikRuler data as if you entered it via the keyboard. The drivers for the PA820 are pre-installed on the Jornada 560-series. To activate them, open the Programs page and tap on the Stowaway icon. Close the window that explains that the Keyboard is an option, etc and enable the Stowaway Keyboard. That's it, the Stowaway Keyboard is now ready to use. For best performance, use Print Manager at the bottom left of the Printers group (should contain an "X"). Insert the supplied printer driver diskette into your computer's A: or B: (3.5) disk drive. It may be that on some manufacturers' computers, the operating system will only take the driver when prompted to do so. The LAN driver can not be automatically installed. Ans: The driver and the accompanied application program should be installed when the device is connected to, and detected by, the system for the first time. Different types of 1394a devices may require different drivers. After the driver is properly installed for a particular device, you may remove and reconnect the device without having to reinstall the driver.
