Yes, the Ultrasuede? will soften and conform better to a rider's leg after washing the garment. The suede on a few select fabrics is applied by using an adhesive, causing the suede to feel stiffer. The adhesive washes out with the first washing.

This will give you a limited amount of protection to normal wear and prolong the life of your leather but will not prevent damage from major accidents.

French Calf and Suede are two different finishes used for the same vinyl. French calf is a smoother finish than suede. It has small lines running through it, like the lines on the palm of your hand. French calf is easier to print on than suede, so it is a better choice for imprints that have fine detail. Suede has a little more texture, so it doesn't show fingerprints as much.
