Can I use fiberglass seam tape and fabric instead of polyester?

FAQ
It is possible, but we don't recommend it. Polyester is more flexible, stronger, and has a proven history of success with our products. Also, be aware that some fiberglass tape and fabric is asphalt impregnated and will not work well with water-borne products.

Can I use epoxy and fiberglass instead of canvas or polyester?

Black Dog Kayaks - Skin on Frame Kayak Kits
You can use fiberglass instead of the provided polyester skin, but we don't recommend it. While fiberglass requires less maintenance, it is actually more fragile than the skin that comes with the kit. The polyester skin will flex when it comes in contact with another object, whereas the fiberglass may crack and require extensive repair at home. If the polyester skin does get a hole in it, it is easy to do a field fix and continue on your way.

Go back to the forum page, using the "FAQ" link in the top navigation area, or the "Back to Thread list" link in the command row. Now the first link in the command row should say "Post New Thread". Clicking that will give you a submission form much like the reply form you used earlier; this is where you start your new thread. Once you post your message, you'll be returned to the forum page, and can see your new thread at the top of the list.

Frequently Asked Questions - Emoil.com/Emohel.com
The mohel is a super-specialist, an expert at his profession, who probably possesses more experience at performing circumcisions than most doctors. A mohel may have the opportunity to perform more brisses in a month than some doctors do in an entire year. Doctors may be called away on medical emergencies and have to cancel their participation in your child's circumcision at the last minute.

Why do you use a DTD instead of a schema?

MusicXML FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
When we started developing MusicXML, a DTD (Document Type Definition) was the only official W3C recommendation for defining an XML document. Since that time, XML Schemas have become an official W3C recommendation, and alternative schema languages like RELAX NG have also become available. W3C XML Schemas offer many benefits when using XML in electronic commerce and business database applications. For musical documents, though, the advantages are less compelling.

Why do you use all these elements instead of attributes?

MusicXML FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
This is mainly a stylistic decision. Several XML books advise representing semantics in elements rather than attributes where possible. One advantage of doing this is that elements have structure, but attributes do not. If you find that what you are representing really has more than one part, you can create a hierarchical structure with an element. With attributes, you are limited to an unordered list.

How many strands of thread should I use?

The Fox Collection - Australia???s premier online-home shopp...
If you buy a kit, you should use the number of strands recommended in the instructions, otherwise you may risk running short of thread. Generally though, the number of strands is a matter of individual choice. On 14-count fabric, two strands are usually recommended, however, many stitchers like to use three strands for denser coverage. Three strands on 18-count, will probably be too heavy, so two strands are probably best, but it is a personal choice.

Do I need to use the same thread in the bobbin as the top?

Sulky FAQ For Longarm Quilters
No. In fact, I will not run 12 wt both in the top and bobbin. It is simply too much thread to fit through the clearances around the shuttle. The rest of the Sulky lineup of threads can be exactly matched, but many times I will choose a finer weight of the same thread because more of it fits on the bobbin. I prefer 40 wt. Rayon or Poly Deco in the bobbin when running Holoshimmer, Sliver, or Metallic in the top.

Cloth-Art Doll Sewing and Sculpting Tips/Faq's
