It is not possible for us to predict exactly how long you will be at the Consular Section. We interview applicants as efficiently as possible consistent with reasoned, legally supportable decisions; however, you should be patient as some applicants may be at our office until/after 4:15 p.m. We make every attempt to interview elderly applicants, applicants with infants, disabled applicants and other applicants with special needs early in the day.

In adjudicating visa applications, Consular officers are guided by U.S. laws and regulations. The issuance of non-immigrant visas is governed by the U.S. Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952, as amended. U.S. immigration law places the burden of proof on the visa applicant to show that he or she is not an intending immigrant. In other words, each non-immigrant visa applicant must prove to the Consular officer's satisfaction that he or she is not planning to travel to the U.S.

Appointments are scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You should allow approximately two hours for the visa interview. All applicants registered for immigration as the spouse, parent, child under the age of 21 of a U.S. citizen are required to attend the Embassy in person for a formal visa interview with a U.S. consular officer.

Visa processing takes 2 workdays. The visa will be returned to you by Embassy appointed courier service, Secure Mail Services. On the day of the visa interview you will be required to purchase an envelope for the return of your documents once visa processing has been completed. The fee for the courier service is ?9.50; payable by debit or credit card or in cash.

On Interview Day, invited applicants will come on campus for a short interview (no more than 25 minutes). You will be interviewed by two Interview Committee members who will ask you a series of questions. These questions are the same questions all of the other invited applicants will be asked. Most students are nervous going into the interview, but come out of the interview very relieved.

most Embassies around the world, visa interviews last roughly 2 minutes. However, we try to give you as much consideration as possible depending upon the volume of applicants that must be interviewed. Interviews typically will range from 2 to 10 minutes in duration depending upon the case.

When I went to the American Citizen service hour in April, the question was asked, what if you could not make the interview. The person there answered that they strongly suggested that you do everything possible to make the interview date. They said that if you could not make it, then you would be put at the end of the waiting list. So it could mean waiting another 3-6 months for the next interview slot.

On the day of your interview, if you are found to be fully documented and eligible to receive a fiancé(e) or immigrant visa, the visa will be issued and posted to you within seven to ten days.

All interviews are conducted at the University of North Dakota College of Nursing. Interviews are usually held on the first Monday and Tuesday of November. Each interview is approximately 30 minutes, during which the interviewee will meet with several faculty members, clinical coordinators, and program faculty. Along with a description of the program, a lunch will also be provided to meet with some of the current students, to gain their perspective of the program.

If you have been selected for an interview at Speed and Stracey, you will meet with one of our Directors. The initial interview is a friendly one-on-one conversation, aimed at providing you with a background about Speed and Stracey and what to expect as an employee. Friendly questions regarding your background and resume will be asked during the initial interview and we encourage thoughtful responses. There are no formal tests nor complicated legal questions asked at the initial interview.

A good pace is 20 miles per day for six days with one day of rest. Remember, you want to enjoy the trail, not race through it.

The type of visa an educational institution issues for you may depend on how long you want to study with us. For courses of less than 3 months, they can issue tourist visas invitations. If your course is longer than 3 months, then they can issue a 6- or 12-month multi-entry business visa. Sometimes they issue invitations for initial 3-month single-entry visas, which can be converted to year-long multi-entry visas after arrival in Russia.

The I-94 Card is the white admission card that is stamped by an immigration Inspection Officer and given to you each time an entry is made into the United States. This card is the key document for determining your admission status category (and permitted purpose or activity), when your status expires and, in the event of a conflict, takes precedence over the Visa expiration date.

Answer: Usually, if an H-4's visa is valid, there may be no need to get a new visa until it is scheduled to expire. H-4's are tied to the H-1B spouse, not the H-1B's employer. This is also true of the H-4 Consular Visa.
